On 26.02.2025, the Vinnytsia State Center for Aesthetic Education of Vocational School Students, within the framework of a cooperation agreement with Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University, held a workshop for cultural organizers and artistic directors of vocational education institutions of Vinnytsia region on the topic: “Music therapy as a method of psychological correction and formation of emotional health of participants in the educational process in VET institutions” in a mixed format at the NotBox Educational Hub.
The event was attended by 25 pedagogical staff members of the VET school, Deputy Director for Methodological Work Olena Atamanenko and methodologist of the artistic and aesthetic direction Valentyna Ivanova.
Based on the results of work in the first half of the 2024-2025 academic year, the teachers were awarded diplomas of the Vinnytsia State Center for Vocational Education and Training for active participation in public events and training winners in the regional stages of All-Ukrainian competitions and festivals.
Nataliia Kravtsova, Associate Professor of the V. Gazinsky Department of Vocal and Choral Training, Theory and Methods of Music Education at Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi VDPU, presented a coaching session on “Music Therapy as a Method of Harmonizing Psychosomatic Health in Wartime” and conducted a training session on “Harmonizing Human Emotional Health through Music Correctional Pedagogy.”
During the workshop, the speaker offered a number of music therapy exercises and techniques used in various forms of receptive and active music therapy (motor relaxation and merging with the rhythm of music; mental and somatic relaxation through music; isotherapy; vocal therapy; playing musical instruments and rhythmic recitation; movement dramatization to music; drama therapy, etc.), and the webinar participants were able to experience the effect of these technologies.
The participants gained new knowledge and skills in applying various music therapy techniques for use in their daily educational work, its impact on activating human reserve forces, stimulating self-healing, modeling behavior, mastering self-control skills, and maintaining and preserving the emotional health of all participants in the educational process of VET.
