On March 06, 2025, the V. Atamanovsky Vinnytsia Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted Shevchenko's readings “We are from Kobzar's family” on the occasion of the 211th anniversary of the birth of the unsurpassed luminary of Ukrainian culture, genius poet, artist, thinker, prophet and fighter for the freedom of Ukraine - Taras Shevchenko.
The event was attended by 45 students from Vinnytsia Interregional Higher Vocational School, Vinnytsia Vocational School 1, and Vinnytsia Vocational School #11.
Among the guests of the readings were writers, scholars, artists, literary critics, military personnel, creative teams, public figures, volunteers, creative youth, and members of the vocal youth ensemble Podolyanky, who enchanted all those present with their performance of musical works based on Taras Shevchenko's words and Ukrainian songs.
The figure of Shevchenko is profound and eternally relevant. Today, during the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Great Kobzar's spirit of freedom and his powerful word inspire millions of Ukrainians to fight for independence, strengthen the strength and steadfastness of our soldiers on the front line. His immortal lines: “Fight and you will win, God helps you! For you is the truth, for you is the glory and the holy will” have become the slogan of the Ukrainian people in their unwavering struggle for freedom and sovereignty.
