On November 14, 2024, the Vinnytsia State Center for Aesthetic Education of Vocational School Students, in cooperation with the Vinnytsia Regional Universal Scientific Library named after V. Otamanovsky, organized a free sightseeing tour of the library.
The event was attended by 13 students of the Center - 13 students of the Vinnytsia Vocational School No. 1. The tour began with a story about the founding of the library and Valentyn Atamanovsky, a Ukrainian historian, bibliographer, local historian, and public figure after whom it is named. And then there were many interesting facts about the history of the library and its role in preserving the literary and scientific treasures of the region. The visitors were especially impressed by the department of rare and valuable publications, which houses unique copies of the past, witnesses of the past, which carry invaluable information about the culture and achievements of different eras.
The excursion gave the students a deeper understanding that the library is a true temple of knowledge, where everyone can find inspiration and feel connected to the past.
