On April 4, 2025, the world celebrates the 76th anniversary of NATO, an organization that has been a symbol of stability, security and democratic values for more than half a century.
Since its founding in 1949, the North Atlantic Alliance has united 32 countries and ensured peace for more than a billion people on both sides of the Atlantic. Its role in maintaining international order and collective security remains key.
Over the years, NATO has successfully overcome challenges, remaining an integral part of the global security system.
“The History of NATO: Everything You Need to Know About the World's Most Powerful Organization” was the title of an information hour held at the Vinnytsia Center for Vocational Education and Design with the participation of 23 students. The moderator of the event was Diana Belous, coordinator of the Regional Information Center for Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, which operates at the Department of Documents on Humanities, Technical and Natural Sciences of the Vinnytsia Regional Scientific Library named after V. Otamanovsky.
The participants learned the basic facts about the history and current activities of the North Atlantic Alliance, up-to-date information about Ukraine-NATO relations, and actively answered interesting questions and completed interactive tasks.
