On May 8, the Vinnytsia Regional Universal Scientific Library named after V. Otamanovsky hosted an information hour “Psychological view of European artists” with psychologist Inna Maslovska with the participation of 12 students of Vinnytsia Higher Vocational School of Services.
During the event, the students learned about the history of the Europe Day in Ukraine and met the guest of the event, Inna Maslovska. Together with her, they explored the inner world of artists, discussed how personal experiences, traumas, and emotions influenced their work, and tried to understand how art became a means of self-expression and healing.
The focus was on such artists as Vincent van Gogh, Salvador Dali, Leonor Feeney, and others. The participants of the information hour tried an art therapy technique, creating their own artworks using a variety of materials: plasticine, thread, markers, wax pencils and sand. In addition, the attendees had the opportunity to get acquainted with the literature on the relevant topics from the library's collection.
