On May 14, the Vinnytsia Regional Universal Scientific Library named after V. Atamanovsky hosted the opening of a personal exhibition of artist Tetiana Rykhlitska “And Ukrainian Embroidery Blooms Over the World” dedicated to the Day of Vyshyvanka, which was attended by 15 students of the Vinnytsia Higher Vocational School of Services.
Craftswoman Tetiana Rykhlitska has assembled a unique collection of more than a hundred embroidered items, each of which is a part of history, culture and folk life. For her, collecting is not just a hobby, but a way of exploring traditions, fashion and peculiarities of different regions. Touching an ancient embroidered shirt, restoring its pattern, comparing styles and revealing artistic and ethnographic nuances - for Ms. Tetyana, this is a real world of admiration and inspiration.
Everyone present was fascinated by the Ukrainian folk song “Oi in a grove by the Danube” performed by a trio of bandura players (Victoria Holyboroda, Alina Makoviychuk, Karina Rozvoruk), students of the Faculty of Arts and Art Technologies of Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University.
The organizers of the exhibition invite you to the Department of Artistic Culture and Arts of the V. Otamanovskyi VOUNL, where from May 14 to May 25, a personal exhibition of the artist Tetiana Rychlitska “And Ukrainian Embroidery Blooms Over the World” will be on display.
