📅 On December 4, 2025, on the occasion of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a national-patriotic meeting “In Defense of the Country and the People” was held at the V. Otamanovsky Vinnytsia Regional Universal Scientific Library. The event was organized in close cooperation with the Vinnytsia State Center for Aesthetic Education of Students of Vocational and Technical Educational Institutions.
👩🎓 Sixty students participated from:
• Vinnytsia Professional College of Services,
• Vinnytsia Center for Vocational Education in Technology and Design,
• VPU No. 11 in Vinnytsia,
• Higher Artistic Vocational School No. 5 in Vinnytsia.
🎤 Olga Dernova, Head of the Department of Culture and Creative Industries of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing her gratitude to our soldiers who left their families and homes so that we could live in peace.
Veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war Mykola Balanchuk, Anatoliy Stasyuk, and Anatoliy Lozinsky shared their stories of struggle and courage. Their words touched everyone present.
📚 Students of the Vinnytsia Professional College of Arts Ilona Gumenyuk, Marina Pliosak, Alina Kishchuk, and Anastasia Komar recited poems by Natalia Pogrebnyak, filled with deep emotions of war.
✨The work of Oleksandra Dovhan, a student at the Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University named after Mykhailo Kotsyubinsky, sounded particularly sincere, so her songs and poetry resonated in the hearts of the audience.🙏 Deputy Director of the library Olga Konovalchuk expressed her gratitude to the veterans and presented awards to the participants of the meeting.
📖 The event concluded with a book exhibition entitled “Our Gratitude and Respect to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” which was prepared by library specialists. The meeting was moderated by Chief Librarian Natalia Kozak.
