On November 18, the Kvadrat Youth Center hosted a festive closing concert and awards ceremony for the winners of the Chervona Kalyna regional patriotic song and dance competition, dedicated to International Students' Day.
This event was a real celebration of music, dance, and unity for 80 participants from 10 vocational education institutions in the city and region.
The concert began with the Ukrainian national anthem and a moment of silence in memory of all those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our country. Bowing their heads, the participants and guests honored our heroes, so that each performance would be a tribute to their courage.
Alla SAPOZHNIK, acting director of the Vinnytsia State Center for Aesthetic Education of VET, addressed the audience with an introductory speech, emphasizing the importance of artistic initiatives that shape patriotism, values, and national identity among young people.
🌟 The concert program consisted of the best vocal and choreographic performances that won the “Chervona Kalyna” competition. Sensual patriotic songs resounded on stage, the voices of talented students of vocational education institutions were heard, and dance groups presented the audience with bright, emotional performances.
The audience heard the songs:
🎶 “Plakala Kalina,” “Kozache,” “Moya Ukraina,” “Kryla Svobody,” “Mir nad Ukrainoyu,” as well as Ukrainian folk compositions in modern arrangements.
The dance groups impressed with their performances:
💃 “Ukrainka,” “Kozachok,” “Solovey,” “Believe in Your Flight,” “Alarm,” and “Autumn Waltz.”
All the performances were filled with warmth, strength, and love for Ukraine.
🏅 Award ceremony
During a special ceremony, the best vocalists, dancers, creative groups, and their leaders received well-deserved diplomas and commemorative awards based on the results of the regional competition.
Yulia Viktorivna Monchak, head of the Youth Policy Department of the Vinnytsia City Council, joined the award ceremony and presented
special “Audience Choice” prizes.
It was a moment of pride, joy, and recognition of the hard work of the talented youth of Vinnytsia.
🎤 Joint finale
The concert ended with the symbolic song “Oy u luzi chervona kalyna” (Oh, the red viburnum in the meadow), performed together by the participants and the audience. The choir filled the hall, creating an atmosphere of unity and indestructibility that all of Ukraine is experiencing today.
