To promote and support democratic values, every year on September 15, the world celebrates International Day of Democracy, which was established by the UN in 2007.🕊️This holiday is an important opportunity to assess the state of democracy in the world and emphasize its key role in protecting human rights and freedoms, developing effective governance, and strengthening democratic institutions.
📚 On this occasion, the V. Otamanovsky Vinnytsia Regional Universal Scientific Library held an information hour entitled “Euro-Atlantic integration as a factor in Ukraine's democratic transformation.” The event was attended by 35 students from the Vinnytsia City Vocational Training Center No. 1 and the Vinnytsia Interregional Higher Vocational School.
🌐 During the information hour, young people learned about NATO's key areas of activity, its cooperation with Ukraine, and the importance of Euro-Atlantic integration for the democratic transformation of our state.
The event was interactive💡 – participants completed tasks that helped them test their knowledge of the North Atlantic Alliance and learn new interesting facts, prompting them to reflect on Ukraine's place and role in the global community.
Such meetings contribute to the formation of civic awareness, the development of critical thinking, and an understanding of the importance of democratic processes in society. 💙💛
