On February 19, 2025, the Department of Foreign Language Documents of the Vinnytsia Regional Scientific and Pedagogical Library named after V. Otamanovsky hosted a literary event “In the Words of the Mother Tongue” dedicated to the International Mother Language Day.
During the event, poetry was recited in Ukrainian, participants shared interesting facts about the linguistic diversity of the world, and performed musical compositions in different languages. Attendees had the opportunity to hear tips on how to easily switch to Ukrainian, learn about effective methods of learning foreign languages, and get acquainted with the library's information resources.
Active participants of the literary festival were 15 students of Vinnytsia Vocational School No. 11.
A special part of the event was an online meeting with volunteer Matt Mozingo, who has lived in Ukraine for more than 10 years, actively volunteered and now continues to conduct online English classes for participants of the conversation group.
May our language always sound proud, expressive and melodic, uniting hearts and generations!
