On January 16, 2025, in the Department of Artistic Culture and Arts of the Vinnytsia Regional Universal Scientific Library named after V. Otamanovskyi, the Vinnytsia State Center for Aesthetic Education of Vocational School Students organized a local history hour dedicated to the figure of Andrii Dyminskyi, a Ukrainian ethnographer, folklorist, collector of folk art and researcher of Podillia culture for 15 students of the Vinnytsia Vocational School No. 1.
Participants of the event learned about the life and work of Andrii Dyminskyi and his significant contribution to the preservation of national heritage.
As part of the local history hour, a monograph by Anatolii Trembitskyi, a well-known researcher of Ukrainian cultural heritage, Doctor of Historical Sciences, senior researcher at the State Historical and Cultural Reserve “Mezhybizh”, was presented. His fundamental work “Andrii Dyminskyi (1829-1905): Ethnographer, Folklorist” reveals new aspects of the life and work of this prominent figure.
The story was accompanied by a multimedia presentation “Andrii Ivanovych Dyminskyi, a prominent folklorist and ethnographer” and a book exhibition “Figures of the historical and cultural heritage of Podillia”, which aroused the interest of the students present.
