On June 4, 2024, a group of ATA-31-23 students from Vinnytsia Higher Vocational School of Services visited the oldest architectural monument in Vinnytsia of the XVII-XVIII centuries - the complex of defensive and monastic structures of the Mury.
This time, the tour was led by Mark Belinsky, a researcher at the Archaeology Research Department of the Vinnytsia Regional Museum of Local Lore. He not only told the story of the three Catholic monasteries - Jesuit, Dominican, and Franciscan - that formed the Mury complex, but also showed how these buildings looked in old photographs.
According to Viktoriia Trokhymchuk, the industrial training instructor, the tour of the historical core of Vinnytsia will provide her students with the knowledge they need for their future profession. After all, they will work as travel agents and administrators after graduation.
As a reminder, the walking tour “Walls. A Look Through the Ages” for students of VET clubs and students of VET schools was organized by the Vinnytsia State Center for Aesthetic Education of Vocational School Students. Its goal is to familiarize students with the history and present of the historical center of our city, to foster love and respect for their small homeland, and to broaden their horizons.
